This is our own initiative, not a client engagement. LUMA is Satchel and Boot’s Non Profit Company, and it is included here because it demonstrates the same capability we deliver for clients, aimed at the country we work in.
The problem
Too many South Africans never get a fair start, because the door to learning is closed by cost or distance long before ability is the question.
The solution
LUMA, Satchel and Boot’s foundation, opens that door. Powered by Satchel and Boot and by Ingqondo as the learning platform, phase one delivers free, accessible learning, with the path beyond it running toward opportunity and employment.
The journey
- Built accessible, mobile-first learning powered by Ingqondo.
- Kept it free at the point of use, so circumstances do not set the ceiling.
- Captured progress and readiness as real evidence rather than assumption.
- Set the foundation for later phases linking learning to opportunity and work.
Outcomes
- Education put within reach of people who were previously priced or placed out of it.
- Verified progress that employers and partners can trust.
- A foundation, in start-up phase, built to grow in the open.
- The same capability we build for clients, aimed at the country we work in.
